What is spaghetti?

Spaghetti is a type of pasta originally from Italy,  in the southern regions of Campania and Sicily. Spaghetti is believed to be invented in the 12th century in Sicily. The word Spaghetti come from Spago which means thread like structure.

Spaghetti was originally made by hands and a metal roller to  make long thin noodles. But, as the industrialization took over it has been made using the machines for faster and more consistent shape. But, amid the industrialization there are still some people who like to make it using their own hands.

Popularity of spaghetti

Spaghetti was not always popular around the world. But, when in the 19th century Italian immigrants came to America Spaghetti started getting its fame after the immigrant Italians introduced the dish. Nowadays, spaghetti is known and enjoyed all over the world and the most popular types of pasta. It is often associated with Italian food culture and is a staple ingredient in many classic Italian dishes, such as spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti with meatballs, and spaghetti alla puttanesca.

Ingredients :

  1. Onions

  2. Tomatoes
  3. Garlic
  4. Olive Oil
  5. Tomato Paste
  6. Salt
  7. Sphagetti Noodles
  8. Cheese

Procedure :

  1. Take your tomatoes and boil in water until it becomes soft.
  2. After the tomatoes become soft, put it in cold water and start peeling the outer layer.
  3. Then grind those tomatoes in a grinder.
  4. Now heat a pan and apply some olive oil or any edible oil you have.
  5. Chop two onions into small pieces and add it to the hot pan.
  6. Smash two cloves of garlic and add it with the onions.
  7. Now cook the onions till it becomes soft.
  8. When the onion gets soft add the tomatoes into it.
  9. Now season the tomato with salt and sugar as per your taste.
  10. Add a bit of tomato paste to it and mix it well. The homemade italian spaghetti sauce is ready.
  11. Now take a pot and boil water in it enough to submerge the pasta stick.
  12. Season the water with 3 to 4 tablespoon of salt.
  13. Add the pasta in the boiling salt water (Don't break the pasta sticks) and let it be until the pasta becomes soft.
  14. Now add the pasta to tomato sauce and mix it well.
  15. Your spaghetti is ready and you may serve it with cheese and the toppings to your desire.
