How To Make Sushi

What is Sushi? 

Sushi is a famous Japanese food that consists of vinegared rice (called "shari") combined with various ingredients, including raw or cooked fish(tuna), seafood(seaweed), vegetables(raddish, carrot, etc), and sometimes tropical fruits. It is typically served with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi.



Types Of Sushi

Sushi can be made with different variations which includes Nigiri (a small ball of rice topped with fish or other ingredients), Maki (sushi rolls wrapped in seaweed with various fillings), and Temaki (cone-shaped sushi rolls). Sushi can also be served without the rice with raw fish that is thinly sliced known as Sashimi.

Popularity of Sushi

Sushi has become a famous food around the world, having different variations throughout the word according to the region. In addition to traditional sushi, modern variations can include ingredients such as avocado, cream cheese, and even cooked meats.

Sushi is also considered to be a healthy food due to its low fat content and high nutritional value. Sushi is also seen as an art form by many, with skilled sushi chefs carefully preparing with supreme delicacy and looks.

Below, we provide the ingredients and the procedure to make sushi.

Ingredients :

  1. Rice
  2. Sugar
  3. Vinegar
  4. Salt
  5. Seaweed
  6. Mayo
  7. Salmon

Procedure :


  1. Wash the rice thoroughly with water until all the gluten is gone and the water becomes clear.
  2. Now take a cooking pot and put the rice in it.
  3. Add the same amount of water as that of the rice.
  4. Cover the pot with a lead and cook for 15 minutes.
  5. After cooking, leave it for 5 to 10 minutes.
  6. Now take your rice and add vinegar that is 1/4 to the amount of rice.
  7. Add salt as you wish.
  8. Take a piece of seaweed and spread the rice in the surface of sea weed.
  9. Now in the middle of rice add a layer of salmon and mayo.
  10. Now roll your sushi with hand or with the help of sushi roller. 
  11. Now cut the sushi in bite sized pieces.
  12.  Your sushis are ready.
